I've been using Propecia, Rogaine, T-gel, yadda yadda off and on since the year 2000 but have never been consistent with it and therefore never could conclude if it has been doing ANYTHING, i Started out as a NW1, and have progressed to a 2 or 3, nothing TOO bad, 3 at the absolute worst, so about a few months ago/Feb/Jan I decided to finally get religious on it. Propecia/Proscar cut into fifths EVERY day, rogaine foam every day, nizoral/tgel at least 2ce a week, nioxin, tea tree shampoo, exercize/diet, stress-busting techniques, and surprisingly,..I started actually SEEING results. Which is weird because I'm an absolute cynic, I really am.
My hair seems to be maintained definitely, that part I can tell because I don't notice shedding. However the first month or two I did, not too bad though.
Now, my problem area is my front. Receeding. THat's it, and I started noticing new hairs SPROUTING, that's right, SPROUTING at first by the other receeded parts, and then back when my original hairline was. They started out VERY small at first and tiny/frail, but actually grew, and became normal hairs. THis was really weird. It's as if my "receeded" parts which dont' just FALL off, they kind of go into a weird recessionn, get all weak and thin and then finally fall off,..actually look like they're getting bushier and bushier.
It looks like someone just planted new seeds in a garden, and they're slowwwwly sprouting.
Is this a sign that it's all actually working?
Now I do feel an intching sensation on that part of my scalp too, and can't tell if thats from the actual growth, or somthing working, or if thats a bad thing.
Because i also felt an itch when i was shedding.
can there also be a growing itch?
Anyways, I'm now FINALLY convinced that this stuff actually CAN work.
I mean even if it doesn't work dramatically, it actually can do at least SOMETHING.
Wow.
Impressive I guess.
Now the only question is,....when will all of this stop working and when will I develop a tolerance? lol.
ALSO I'm not sure what to thank for this, the propecia, nizoral, tgel or rogaine.
I obvioously think propecia, but also...I think rogainefoam.
It somehow works better than the liquid. Back when i was using the liquid even though it's the SAME drug, I just wasn't getting as responsive as with the foam.
Needless to say, I also had long time side effects on propecia, and I finally learned that as long as I ride out the sides for a week or two,...they GO AWAY!!! I used to get horrible sides, brain fog, etc etc, and I no longer have it.
So I"m finally happy and Ill try to take some pics If I can.
