this stuff sounds good:

Neutrogena Shampoo (Anti-residue)   175 ml bottle.

Indications :    For all hair types.

Feature and Benefits :

Neutrogena Shampoo has formulated to cleanse thoroughly and rinse completely, leaving nothing behind to irritate the scalp. Clinical tests prove that with the very first use, Neutrogena shampoo removes up to 70% of the residue left by the other shampoos.

To regularly revitalize the hair and enhance the effectiveness of a favorite shampoo, temporarily substitute Neutrogena Shampoo. It gently and effectively removes residue build – up caused by other shampoos, conditioners, moisture and styling aids. Then you can return to favorite shampoos and they will work better than ever.

For patients undergoing Facial/ Scalp surgical procedures. Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo has superior rinsability and will not interfere with topical medications.

Non – medicated formula will not interfere with hair or scalp therapies.

Don't know the validity of it, but I read the using a good clarifying shampoo cleans everything off the scalp, I have even heard of Mary J users using the shampoo because it will clear out any traces of weed that they may have left when getting tested. I am not too sure about the last statement, but the first one seems to make sense that it could/would clean out everything left on the scalp.

I've been using that stuff for months (anti-residue). Works great!
It has kind of a med smell to it but it's tolerable.

If you shampoo everyday you do not need a powerful shampoo which can potentially irritate the scalp over time. On a daily basis, better use a baby shampoo, which is gentle and won't be an irritant. Using salicylic acid + ketoconazole twice a week can be somewhat hard on your scalp as it is. There's no need to eliminate every trace of your natural oils by adding this one to your regimen.

Avri,
have you tried it?
it's supprisingly mild. The thing is if your using these thickening shampoos, gels, hairspray, mouse, palmade or whatever your getting build-up on the hair shaft. THis stuff removes it well. I like this stuff a lot and it doesn't irritate the scalp at all. For me anyways.
