So for a while now I've noticed that I've been losing hair noticeably, I was busy in summer doing double shifts for 2 months and I wasn't really paying attention, I'm only 17 I don't think baldness is hereditary in my family though it's possible, I've noticed my hair from around the temporal area has receeded quite badly, though my hair seems to still grow longer, quite long atm but it's not thick nor growing wider, Is it possible that I'm going bald or is this simply a phase I'm going through?

Too lazy to take them tbh, But do you guys have a general idea about what my issue could be?
Not without pics, no. It's nigh impossible to assess your Norwood-status/miniaturization etc. without any pictures.

Okay so I've never really taken pics of my hair, not much of a pic person overall, so bare with me.
I should mention that my hair is growing taller even in areas where it seems to be receeding but it's pretty thin and I can see my scalp almost clearly.

Hope these help, thanks in advance

Brother I'm sorry to say that looks like MBP. The picture quality isn't too good but i can clearly see the scalp on your crown.

Does your father have hairloss? What about your mothers family?

I need more info and better picture including your front to make better assessment but you really should prepare treatment. finasteride is not recommend and won't be prescribed to someone under 18. Research and prepare for treatment and discuss with your doctor.

My dad does have hair loss but it only started in his mid twenties, My hair loss has slowed down significantly and I can't discuss it with my doctor since he's outta town for a few weeks, (no insurance to see someone else), So if it is male pattern baldness but I can't use finasteride then what should I do about it?

What Norwood is your father?
It's good that's it's slowed down. Starting finasteride at 17 is not recommended for many reasons so your best option is to observe your hair and see the doctor if it gets worse.

Norwood scale of male pattern hair loss... you should familiarise yourself with it. Bro you need to learn as much about hairloss as you can. Use your research skills to find out about what causes hair loss and why treatments like finasteride and minoxdil works.

If your hairloss progress you can try the big 3 which is finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral shampoo....

finasteride and minx before 18? I thought you said I shouldn't do that, Aside using those, Is there any natural remedies I can use? And is there hope of getting my hair thicker or is it too late?
