If I decided to just use over the counter treatments such as Rogain foam and Nizoral, could I stop or at least slow my hair loss? How important is Propecia in the regiment?

Thank you!

It depends on wether your a good responder or not. I used minoxidil as my first treatment for hairloss and it was great. I got regrowth but at the cost of side effects which got too much for me. Minoxidil if your a good responder will give you faster regrowth than propecia and most hairloss treatments out there. The problem lies in the fact that although it can give you regrowth it doesnt stop the underlying cause of hairloss dht which propecia can help with. Combining the two is you best shot of regrowth and maintenance. You might want look into copper peptides too i've heard they can help.

Propecia or any form of Finasteride has thus far been the base of most successful treatments. For me it would be too much of a risk not to take it. I'd start with that if I were you and then maybe add other treatments in the future after about a year or so. (That's if you were looking to gauge what is most effective and when.)

From looking at your pics I personally think you have a fighting chance if you act soon. I would hate to see you throw it away by leaving out a proven treatment. Good luck with whatever you do though.
