Nizoral - Experiencing Potential Regrowth?

Hi guys

Around 4 months ago I started using Nizoral 2% shampoo, Wednesdays and Saturdays (Leaving it in my hair for 10-15minutes). So far I have had quite the interesting experience. Before starting I was shedding hair, however 2 weeks into treatment after at first witnessing a decrease in shedding I started to shed excessive amounts of hair... By excessive I mean 150+ hairs a day. Now here's the weird part, recently (past week or 2) I have been experiencing little to no shedding, also I believe I see some regrowth in my hairline. However I am unsure whether this is regrowth or just my hairs miniaturising more? My hairline now consists of many hairs much shorter in length when before I never had this.

Basically overall since starting treatment my hair lost alot of density but as of late it seems to be getting better but this may be because my hair is longer...? However I am also experiencing little to no shedding.

What do you guys think is going on? I myself am very confused as you can tell

p.s 4months ago i was also going through a very stressful period - aswell as worrying about my hair i had a death of a family member, and exams (im 19).

Doubt nizoral is strong enough to maintain anyone's hair except someone with androgen sensitivity that borderlines where DHT will even miniaturize their hair. Nizoral shampoo thickens hair instantly because it drys out your hair and puffs it up giving the appearance of better hair.

Not really. Nizoral is very effective against male pattern baldness, and good for overall hair condition.

I was thinking the same thing, but when my hair would get greasy it would still look terrible, however now it looks alright and even takes longer to get greasy again. But again i assume this is due to my hair being longer, so generally it looks like i have healthier hair. In all honesty i think i suffered from mild Telogen Effluvium since my extremely high levels of stress but who knows, either way i will probably start propecia soon. Do you guys think 0.5mg EOD is an acceptable dose to maintain my hair? Bear in mind i am 19 and barely a NW2?
