I often see Nizoral's suggested use as 3x per week. I think that the 3x per week suggested use on the bottle is in regards to its anti-fungal properties. Being that that Nizoral is considered a mild anti-androgen, it may be helpful to use it everday (other more powerful anti-androgens' suggested use is everday).

Others have said that using it more than 3x per week is hard on the hair. What effect does it have if used too much? Is it only cosmetic or is it counter productive with regards to regrowth?

some people feel that it really dries out the hair. But if it doesnt really dry out your hair you could consider using it more often, but every day isnt advisable....

I've been on Dr.s Lee's nizoral for at least 1 year and getting ready to run out. I think I might make the switch to the less expensive Nizoral 1% (and get a bottle over the counter) and maybe go w/ that stuff 3x weekly. I've been using Dr. Lee's 2x weekly.

I used Nizoral every day and had no problems at all, I agree that it's probably more effective the more you use it.

I still use it 5 days a week and use NANO the other 2 days.

I use Nizoral every 2 or 3 days, but decided to take a break for almost 10 days and my scalp is not as itchy as it used to be, and the hair looks healthier because its not so dried out.

I will continue to use it because its great to help stop dandruff from using minoxidil.

I've been using Nizoral 1% about once to twice a week and I think that is the way it works best.

BTW, my nizoral bottle has an expiration date of 4/2006. How much longer is it ok to use this bottle?
