Nizoral and Hair Gel question

1-Has anyone experienced any side effects from using Nizoral shampoo long term? I notice on the bottle that it says after to only "use as needed" after 8 weeks.

2-Can using hair gel speed up hair loss? From the gel possibly getting into your scalp and blocking follicles?
