nizoral, a hair thickener?

i had put off buying nizoral because i have dry hair, and i thought that it would totally dry my hair out even more. but doesn't anyone else notice this, all the days that i use nizoral are my "good hair days" I feel like my hair looks and feels thicker on these days? Hell, i have found myself creeping up, and using nizoral every other day just because i want the good hair days more often. so if anyone out there is avoiding nizoral because they don't want dried out hair, i would give it a shot, it may do just the opposite.

For some reason the Nizorl does not dry out my hair. I think it's because I have soft water. It won't make it thicker, it just gives that impression as the hair is more brittal after use and that make styling a little more easier to control. Which in affect gives the impression of thicker looking hair.

I use Nizoral around 4-5 times a week, no problems with my hair being dried out (yet!)

Nizoral actually makes my hair look like sh*t. Thin, lifeless and just plain horrible, but it does not dry out my hair. I hate the stuff.

Trent, I too like the way my hair looks on days that I use nizoral. I believe the effect is that it does, in fact, dry out your hair more then traditional shampoos, but the resulting effect leaves your hair somewhat 'frayed.' For example if you took a rope and frayed the edges. The result is what appears to be a thicker hair with more coverage. Some experienced this effect after they dyed their hair different colors and came back with the conclusion that their thinning spots will 'filled in' and less noticible then before. More then likely it was actually a result of having this same effect as nizoral did on the hair itself.
