Hey everyone.
I have a Nizoral 1% shampoo question
Does Nizoral function in the way that minoxidil does in the sense that......
Once you stop the application of minoxidil, you loose whatever gains you have made with it.
I'm a Norwoord 1.5 (boohoo I know), with some thinning on the right corner of my hairline. I'm on no treatments, and I just started using Nizoral.
I understand Nizoral is to prevent the binding of DHT, and not used for regrowth. If Nizoral successfully blocks the DHT to the area in which I apply it,will all of these hairs become dependent on the nizoral and jump ship once they are not getting the nizoral? Or if I stop using the product, will the DHT just resume it's natural course toward the hair in that area.
I understand : No nizoral= The hairs are gonna get more DHT
With nizoral= Some of the DHT with be blocked from binding
I just don't know if using nizoral will create "artificial, treatment dependent gains" in the way that minoxidil does.
I hope my question is clear, any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
