I just read Jblig's post about his hair looking bad. I used to spike mine, too. I'm on minoxidil, propecia, MSM, and am hoping for thicker hair.

But what is the best way to go with these shampoos? Bruce advised to use nizoral 1% because 2% isn't good for the hair. I'm assuming he means the hair itself, not the follicles or scalp. Some guys say they used nizoral 2% every day, and got good results with propecia and minoxidil (after a year).

Does using nizoral 1% vs. 2% make the hair less dry? I have dry hair, and a lot of dandruff from the minoxidil. Does Folligen help get rid of the dandruff along with the shampoos? Will use of nizoral every 3 day instead of every other day help make my hair seem less dry?

I know this, too, probably varies from person to person, and I just have to try it myself.

Maybe I'm just venting myself. Some input would be appreciated. Thanks.

It varies. I like 2% because I only use it 2-3x/week but you'll just have to see for yourself

2% is obviously going to put more active ingredient into your scalp, but many people do just fine with 1%

And when people talk about rotating between TGel and nizoral, do they mean day 3 use nizoral, day 6 use Tgel, day 9 nizoral, and so forth? Can I use Head and Shoulders in between?

I am using H&S in the morning, 2 x, then nano, and at night, using H&S 2x, then revivogen when I am not using nizoral or Tget. Then every other night alternating between nizoral and Tgel 2x.

Hell, maybe it just doesn't matter anyway. But I want to get rid of this dandruff situation. My hair feels so dry (man I sould like a women, where's my sundress??=).

Why does Folligen hurt my f'n scalp so much?!?

Thanks guys. good luck.

Elguapo, you're reading into this too much.

Just use Nizoral once every three days. If you miss a day, miss a dose whatever it will do nothing to harm your hair. :)

folligen hurts your scalp so much because your scalp is not in good condition. You have to keep using it becuase it will slowly get it back in good order. After this it will not sting anymore. Some have reported it taking 3 weeks or so, then after this point the stinging will go away. It is essential to have your scalp in good condition for bringing back your hair, so stick with it!

Yeah, I've been using Folligen for 4 days and it stings. But the stinging goes away after a few minutes. Also, I notice that when I overdo the application, it stings. If I use a smaller, more reasonable amount, I can't feel a thing.

Thanks guys (and gal). I will stick to it. I plan to use the 50% dilluted solution for a few weeks, and work my way up to 100%. I WILL stick with it, even through the sting.

Yeah, I am looking into it too much. I'm an engineer- over-analizing is one of my faults. Then again, time is of the essence in this game, so getting it right as early as possible can be important. And the wait is the hardest part.

Thanks.
