nizoral 1% and 2%

ive been using nizoral 2% for a few months, not its run out i need to get a new bottle, just wondering if a 1% (which i can buy over the counter without a prescription) is just as good?

Also is there any harm in using 2% 2 times a week as it seems like strong stuff to be using so regulerly?! would i be better off using it onece a week with a reguler shampoo the other time

I don't think that anyone here can give you a scientifically material answer as to whether 2% is better than 1%. Both seem to do the job, but whatever possible anti-androgenetic benefits 2% might have over 1% are probably marginal. Then again, given the randomness of what works and does not work for certain individual people's regimen, who knows. It might just be the ticket to norwood reduction.

Personally, I would compare the prices you can get for the two. If you can get 2% for the same price as 1%, then go for it. If not, perhaps try it for a few months and see if you notice any indications of scalp nirvana. If not, you could always drop it and revert to the 1.

I think that 1% should be plenty effective for our purposes. If after using the 1%, you still have irritation, scalp itching, etc,. then you can always go back to 2% but I don't think that will be necessary.
