Nit-picky questions

Just a few questions... What is the difference between Rogaine liquid and foam? Is it the exact same mixture or does the foam have something extra added to it to enable it to foam up?

I've never actually seen the foam before - is it in a pressurized can? Does it come as foam or does the nozzle of the can create the foam?

Also what is the best thing I can mix with minoxidil liquid to dilute it, without reducing its effectiveness? Would water do for this, or would I need something else.

They are certainly a different mixture, although they contain the same amount of minoxidil. The foam is in a small pressurized container, much like a can of hair mousse. It essentially comes out as a foam and quickly deteriorates under warmth into a liquid, which is absorbed through the skin fairly rapidly. The foam is much quicker drying and less greasy than the pure liquid form of minoxidil.

I've only used the foam myself and it only takes me less than a minute to apply and not much longer to dry. It hasn't been a hassle for me, but I haven't seen any results from it either.

I don't think you could dilute the minoxidil and keep it's effectiveness. 5% is more effective than 2% because it has more minoxidil in it. If you dilute either one, you're going to reduce the % by volume and thefore its effectiveness.
