Nioxin shampoo/conditioner # question?

I've been using Nioxin since the late 90's, everyday. Not sure about cycling it, hard to find information.

Anyway, I couldn't tell you if it works, but being my dad is completely bald, I haven't lost a lot, noticeable around the crown though, and thinning on top, and hair line.

I'm 39, so at least it's slow.

My question is, I've been using #2 for about 2 years, and wonder if I need to move up to #5 or #6. I have NO idea what the #'s stand for, if it's a stronger concentration of DHT blocker?

Thanks all!

#1: for fine hair, normal to thin looking
#2: for fine hair, noticeably thinning

#5: for medium/coarse hair, normal to thin looking
#6: for medium/coarse hair, noticeably thinning

So it depends on your hair shaft and the amount of your hair loss. Usually blond hair are fine but not always.
