Nioxin: Does It Lose Its Effectiveness?

I've been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner for almost three months (along with finasteride). During the first month, my hair was transformed. It went from being thin and dead to fuller and more alive. Great volumizer. But in the last couple of months, I've noticed my hair can't regain that same vibrancy. I'm still using both it and finasteride, and my hair is still regrowing, but it doesn't look as good as it did a couple months ago. Am I overusing NIoxin (I use either Nioxin shampoo or Regenepure once a day and Nioxin conditioner almost every day) products? If anyone else may know why this is happening, I'd love to know. I want to get that vibrancy back.

I'll definitely cut back on it. Do you have a shampoo that works for you? Regenepure is decent but it's kinda rough. I mainly use it for the Keto in it.

Nioxin will only help aesthetically, it's a great shampoo but isnt anything more than that.

I'm only using Nioxin for the aesthetic purpose for which it is intended. I was wondering if people found that the dime-sized amounts prescribed on the bottle were most optimum for strong results. I had been using a bit more than that (maybe too much more) and my hair has seen diminishing results. I'll try to reverse the situation by using a "less is more" policy.

Nioxin was the very first hair loss shampoo I used when I started balding.

It didn't do anything to help treat the issue, but I still kept using it for a while since I liked the way it felt on my scalp and helped make my hair look better. I quit eventually because I found the cleaning detergents in it a bit too drying.

That's funny, because that was the same for me as well.

In fact, I used that sh*t before, even in the 1980s.

The theory, which was complete bullshit, was that calcium makes hair fall out. (Of course, nothing mentioned about DHT). If that
was true, women would lose their hair at the same rate we do.

In fact, anybody who drinks milk would lose their hair. Utter bullshit.

Yeah k9gatton, too many theories about hair loss not enough factual scientific information on it. Think about it, Minoxidil came out as a hair loss treatment before Finasteride! And to this day, Minoxidil has been out for nearly 30 years to treat Androgenetic Alopecia and we still have no clue to the exact mechanism(s) on how it works.
