Newbie to Hair Systems

I am looking into getting a hair system to deal with my hair loss... For my first one, I was thinking about going to local shop instead of buying it online. I was quoted $800-$1500 for a custom hair system. Does this sound about right?

If you do some research online and watch some videos on how to DIY you will pay about $300-$400 and have more choice, knowledge and control.

Its not too hard once you start, but it will save you a fortune from these salons/clinics.

$800-$1500 is too much.

First application

My main concern would be shaving the area down before attaching the system for the first time, how do you mark where to shave to? And do you do then cut the sides and back yourself

Usually, you would get someone (stylist) to do this for you as its easier looking down and marking.

What online supplier is best to order from Germany?

I´m also a newbie looking for advice. I would like to order my first hair system and I´m nowhere near sure how to proceed. Does anybody know a good lace system online supplier for a person living in Germany? Also, I´m a man but my hair is 20 inches long (about 50 centimeters), brown, straight and (of course) thin. I don´t mind having thin hair, I just want a full head of it. Can I make sure of that when I order? Thanks.
