It's funny, I hear all these stories about how hair loss skips a generation, or that it only depends on your mom's side of the family, but if either of these are true, my hair would not be thinning right now.
I noticed it's been getting thinner for the last year, and since even my family has noticed it now, I know it's not just me being paranoid. The good news is that it's only really noticeable when my hair is wet, otherwise, you can't tell unless you really examine it.
Anyways, I'm thinking about trying this miracle shampoo that everyone is talking about here, Nizoral. From the research I've done on it, it seems like it's only for people with dandruff or oily hair/scalp problems. Now, I don't really have a dandruff problem, but when I skip washing my hair for a day, it shows up. My hair is not really oily either, and my scalp only sometimes itches.
My questions:
Will Nizoral work for people without major dandruff/oil problems?
Are there any major bad effects from using Nizoral that I should be aware of? Any minor side effects?
Is there only one kind of Nizoral shampoo? Or are there different specialized types that only treat dandruff or only treat hairloss or only treat etc...
I'm thinking about just shampoo for now, since the thinning isn't that bad yet, and I'm not very comfortable with popping these kinds of hairloss pills.
Thank you.
