Hey everyone,

I have been reading about the big 3 and everyone stories. I believe i might be too late to do anything about this, my hair loss is pretty much standard top of the head loss, horseshoe growth if I grow it out. When I was in my 20's I just shaved it bald, but now I am 30 and decided to try to do something.

Anyway, I am pretty bald on top, only fuzzy blonde hair and very little of that to boot.

Should I give up or try the big 3 or I have heard good things from Adodart. I will post a pic tonight to better judge.

Oh, I am a NW6 at least. I probably have 150$ to start with and can throw another 150$ at it in 2 months.

if you are a norwood 6 with just a l;ittle on top then you will not get a full head of hair again with any treatment you use, however if you are lucky and respond to meds you may be able to get light coverage all over the head, and a lot of people consider that a full head of hair

Even if you're a NW3 you wont get NW1 with the meds. Just forget. A NW6 its even more difficult. If you reach the NW4 then its great.

Well I just recently shaved my head (sat) so its very difficult to see anything at all. but NW6 would be a good category. I know that at NW1 would be impossible but NW3 or NW4 would be nice.

So if I start the Big 3.

1. Nizoral Shampoo
2. Propecia (Finasteride) or should I use the stronger tabs, I forget the name right now...
3. Rogaine Foam (Minoxidil) Stength ?

What would be the right strength, I will give it 6/12 months, and if at that time still pretty much NW6 then so be it, shave the head forever. But I have to try.

Also, anyone think Avodart any good? I think I can get my dermatologist to write a script for it...

Never heard of anyone getting anywhere from a full NW6 without a hair transplant. If you consider that option, you might want to take the meds, just to avoid a NW7 (basically untransplantable)
