Hi all
I just found this site, very Helpful and a great forum
Can anyone help me please. I Started loosing my hair at an age of 28 when i noticed it thinning. To be honest none of my family members are bold or have lost a lot of hair so i don't think it would be genetics. I have had a hard few years with having a brain tumor removed, court over contact with my son so i believe it was all related to stress as i am also suffering with psoriasis
About 6 months ago after watching a video on youtube about minoxidil and a bloke trying this equate brand hair loss product, seeing his 5 videos of monthly updates and how much more hair he had i decided to give it a go.
I got to be honest 5 months into it i noticed a major different and apart from a few small patches my hair looked fuller and thicker using the equate minoxidil and head & shoulders hair endurance shampoo.
This is where it went wrong, on the 5th month i started getting itching which even though i know i shouldnt itch, i couldnt stop scratching, it made my scalp red then wet for some reason, well when i put equate minoxidil on it was stinging bad so i had to stop using it. tThe itching continued and i eventially went to the doctor and was prescribed "Bentnovate Scalp Apllication".
It calmed down then and after a month i noticed my hair was going very thin again
off course i decided to try the minoxidil again and it was fine for two days but today it is itching again, not as bad at the moment mind.
I read that Propylene glycol causes this? i dont know why i was fine for 5 months then this started all of a sudden. I live in the uk and i cant find any other minoxidil solution that doesnt contain Propylene glycol.
Has anyone else had this problem, is there any help to stop this itching or alternatives to equate solution, would foam version be better?
Many thanks
