New treatment on the horizon that actually works?

Im a noob on this discussion board. I am not really that very optimistic, but I have been trying 2% minoxidil. I want to get the 5% but I have to order it off ebay cos they dont sell it at stores. Also, so far, I have been getting little bumps on my head, so what does that mean? No irritation. I'm also going to try the emu oil as I read it helps.

My question is: a while back. maybe in the beginning of the year they announced that scientists found the cure for hairloss where all the dead follicles can be revived and made to sprout brand new hair roots, that were once killed by the testerone.

Its not a fad or a scam. It was in the local and very reputable newspapers. But they said now that they figured out how to generate new follicles, they have to figure out how to put it into applicable form which will include trial periods of 2-3 or 4 years. I'm not sure.

This is my question. Anyone heard of when this will come out?

Yeah, I think thats the one. The reputable newspapers explained that the scientists figured out by introducing a wound into the scalp has caused the skin to regrow new hair follicles, where there was dead and gone hair follicles before, once the wound was healed and repaired." - as stated in the newspapers, as I remember it in the article.

So, everyone has no faith in this?

I too have heard of this method and IMO is probably better than what ICX is developing which involves injecting dermal papilla cells into the scalp and will come out way before HM, so heres to hoping. If this method works the way it should, the new hairs will still be vulnerable to DHT, but at least I would be starting from scratch and can finally use the meds with hopes of retaining the new hair (at least until hm comes out). But this would seriously be the textbook second chance. Get it done.
