Hi guys,

I'm a 22 year old guy. I have always looked young for my age. It's genetic, runs in the family. I have older cousins who are 30 but sometimes get mistaken for being as young as 18. I have a very childish "little boy" face for my age. I would say my face looks about 15-16. I am of average height - 5 foot 10 and average build. The only thing that looks young on me is the face. Until recently I was asked for ID and asked if I was still in school.

Not anymore. About a year ago now I started noticeably receding at my temples. It seemed to happen quite suddenly. I got a very short haircut when I was at a barbers shop in New York at the beginning of July. About 3 weeks later when it grew out it looked like I had balding hair. My temples were high. So I've had the problem of going bald since then.

In the months after I quite often got stared at in public and got paranoid of people, thinking they were talking about me. I think it's because I appear as a little boy going bald, due to my "baby" face. So I decided to go short again. After a good haircut I could pass for 16 again as the baldness is not noticeable or not as noticeable. But this is very brief. After just a week I look older again when the hair grows out a bit. I seem to be going more and more often for haircuts, going shorter every time.

Trust me, looking really young and going bald is not a good look. You would almost think I had some sort of problem. Maybe if I grew out some facial hair I might be able to work the bald look better?

As far as getting girls I think I'm screwed now. Cute and bald don't mix. Might start wearing a permanent hat.

Ever try any treatment for it? Why not hop on finasteride (propecia) or minoxidil. Using these things could stop and possibly reverse your balding
