Hello everyone, I have been reading about hairloss extensively recently. I am only 21 years old and recently noticed the crown of my head is thinning. At first I was in denial when someone pointed this out to me, until I let my hair grow out a bit and noticed the crown of my hair was significantly shorter and thinner than the rest of my head. My hair is naturally pretty thick, but the crown is a different story as of late.

At first I attributed this to genetics, but then I looked at my brothers and sisters & the rest of my exterior family, and none of them lost this much hair at such an early age. Then I supposed maybe it was due to the doxycycline/minocycline that I took for 2 years that caused it, and a simple google search suggests that may be the case.

I cannot tell, but I have stopped taking it (my acne has cleared up now anyways).

I have looked into a bunch of natural remedies for hair loss and am experimenting.

I really want to avoid propecia because of its potential sexual side effects. Preferably, I want to avoid anything that may cause irreversible sexual damage (I rather be bald than become impotent!)

That said, I want to share what I have been trying:

1) I take pumpkin seed oil internally (about 3000 mg throughout the day (morning, lunch, night)
2) I take 7500 mg biotin daily (sometimes twice)
3) MSM 1500mg daily

4*) and furthermore I rub olive oil infused with cayenne pepper before going to sleep,

4*) I made two infusions, one with coconut oil, cayenne pepper, and rosemary that I sometimes use instead of just the cayenne pepper & olive oil.

***I've only been doing this for about 3 weeks so I think it is too early to tell if it will work.

But I did cut my hair really short a couple weeks ago to maximize penetration to my scalp. But the hair at my crown is still noticeably thinner/balding, while the rest of my hair is thick. However I have noticed my hair is growing quite fast.

I notice the hair at my temples too has diminished progressively.

Fortunately this is just at my crown and is not toooo noticeable (unless you are taller than me and are staring straight at my crown!)

However, since i am still young and don't want to be bald by next year, I would sincerely appreciate any tips on how to thicken/restore hair at my crown.

I have considered minoxidil as a route of treatment, but I have heard it does cause erectile dysfunction in some people (in some cases long-lasting problems!). So I am trying to stay as natural as possible, but I am still open to ideas.

Here is the crown of my head:
