New To Forum Am 37 Year Old Male Been Worried And Want Advice Thanks

I am a 37 year old male I have always had a nice head of hair. My mother has had auburn and thick hair and her father and her brother still have their hair, although I have notice my mom's brother has the temple recession but nothing really bad. My biological father he is now 70 but told me he was 38 and someone took a photo of him and the back of his head was showing and he noticed a small round bald spot and his progressed as well as my step brother on my father's side had the hair on the sides and back but the top was bald. I have no hair loss in the back of my head but believe my temples have receded and I have noticed I can see my scalp more I usually part my hair. I have been trying to grow it out. I remember in 2007-2008 I had really nice hair. I will take some photos/share some of my previous to compare. I have in the past 6-9 month was shedding a lot of hair. It seems to have slowed done or stopped shedding at this point


My hair is a little greasy I have been massaging Pure Grape seed oil in my scalp.

I have noticed today and last night a almost itch like sensation in my left temple at the hairline and I looked earlier today not sure if it's a possible sign hair is regrowing or not will post some older photos in the next post

Also I did notice where I usually part my hair in Febuary of 2017 I started to notice I could see my scalp more so is there any thing to do to possibly to halt my hairloss? Should I try Rogaine or Propecia? I seen before and after photos of Propecia results and they look really good!

You still have some nice hair, but you are starting to thin and recede. Get on Finasteride.

I agree. It's great you made it to your age with that much hair, so you are a slow burner. Consider Minoxidil 5% to start plus Finasteride. No other topical stuff will do much at all.

thanks guys I am seeing my family doctor on the 19th do you think he will prescribe Finasteride I'd probably have to pay out of pocket doubt medicare or medicaid would help pay for that medication but how much would it cost? I did see some amazing results from before and after photos with Finasteride

Hope they come out with more research and can cure this my father is 70 and he started balding at 38 from bald spot in back of his head I don't seem to have that mine is as you can see from the temples and hairline? Also is it normal to experience an itch like sensation if so is it hair regrowth possibly or sign of hair loss?

I just looked him up and your right, I hope it doesn't get too much worse my left temple is much different than my right where the right one is only slightly receded Do you know how bad his got

I been so worried and freaked out by losing my hair. I been almost obsessed with what to do to make it stop. I did see microneedling has had some results was even thinking of trying that still haven't gotten around to getting Rogaine yet but definitely will either some time this month or definitely by next month

I read about a shampoo called OGX Anti-Hair fallout niacin & caffeine shampoo it apparently has a dht blocker in it anybody use it have any luck with I read the reviews and they were good

Any way to tell how much you will thin or how fast it will progress for example if I just started receding or noticing last year I went through a huge shedding stage was that an indication of the start of losing hair and I have noticed a itch like sensation in my hairline area is that also an indication? I plan on getting on Rogaine 5% foam next month and was thinking of using a good skin exfolator to possibly help I read that DHT is in the sebum which is oil so if I am sweating on a hot day then is it meaning DHT is gonna be in the sebum doing it's damage?

Ignoring the long hair and concentrating on your hairline its actually balding quite bad in my opinion. Last photo shows good bit of recession and the top view shows your vertex is thinning too. I would def recommend tryinn treatments if you want to keep your hair

Thanks I definitely am going to go with Minoxidil foam I recently got full blood count and am having my testosterone and DHT levels checked as well I am going to try to get Minoxidil either this month or definitely next month for sure

I have read about Black Tea possibly lowers DHT levels can be used as a rinse to help hair fall and it lowers DHT up to 71-72% wonder if anyone has tried it?

dude try being in your 20's while balding its way worse. 37 is an acceptable ago to start balding
