New system - Poofy with a lot of Volume

Hello. I wear a partial frontal system and just put a new piece on today. It’s really poofy and has a lot of volume. Would washing it several times make the volume less or is it normal for new pieces and systems to have this poofiness/volume at first?

As long as the density is not too plentiful I would condition the system. Stay away from blow drying

A shower or two always knocks it down. Its very normal.

Thank you both! I’ve been wearing for several years but I would say I didn’t develop an eye for realism until about a year and a half ago.
