New Rogaine User, need advice

Hey guys, I have been on finasteride for 8 days and nizoral for about a month. I still have my hairline, but my hair is thinning, I keep my hair kinda of short and style like Brad Pitt in oceans 11. I just applied my first dose of rogaine 5 minutes ago and I was kinda all over the place. I took close to a cap full and rub it all over the top of my head, from the vertex (which is fine, no thinning or balding there) to my hairline. I have some questions about this stuff. 1. How long does the smell last 2. How long before I can put gel on my hair. 3. Since I am thinning at this point and I am on the other 2, is it okay just to apply it at night, just 1 time a day. If I were you I wouldn't start Rogaine yet if you are at the early stages of thinning Finesteride should suffice for now. Be warned that it may (and probably will) get worse over the next few months but it will improve.

Rogaine is messy and annoying. I started using it once Finesteride started to lose its potency and I began losing ground on my hairline - this was 2 years after starting finesteride and having great regrowth on the front.

I saved Rogaine and kept it in the armoury for that purpose. I have used it for about 6 months now - with limited success.

Up to you really but my advice is to strech out every bit of the meds we have to try and get over line to hair clong in 5 years time (well - we can live in hope!!)
