Hey everyone, I've been reading the boards for awhile now and thought I'd ask my own question. I'm 18 years old and have medium frontal thinning and recession. My temples are receding with my left being worse than my right. I'm on propecia and have been for nearly 2 months now. I started minoxidil about 2 months ago but quit after the first month. My question is that lately I have noticed new small hairs growing on the balding area of my left temple and I'm excited about this but I'm wondering if this is because of the minoxidil I used two months ago or possibly an early growth from the propecia. I'm unsure since I hear minoxidil usually takes around 3 months to start working and I only used it for one month and have been off it for a month. My dermatologist says it seems like my hair grows quite a bit faster than normal so I'm wondering if maybe the propecia is working for me faster and i'm noticing regrowth already? Anyone have any thoughts about if it may be the minoxidil or the propecia? any input would be great. Thanks everyone.
