Hi everybody,

Im new here. Im from Portugal (Europe). So i´ve consulted 3 dermatologists here and here is their treatment options/approaches:

1 Doctor - Minoxidil + Finasteride (optional if worried about side effects) + Oral Vitamins Supplement
2 Doctor - Minoxidil + Finasteride (optional if worried about side effects) + Oral Vitamins Supplement + iron supplementation + Hair lotion and shampoo
3 Doctor - Minoxidil (optional or to reinforce the other approaches) + Dutasteride/vitamins Mesotherapy 1.5 months appart + LLLT Therapy + Oral Vitamins Supplement

Im 33 years old. I would say that i´m a Norwood 2 or 2.5. All of the doctors have experience in hair tranplant but it seems is not my case at this point. So i have a sensible choice to make right now. Try to reduce the progression.
My impression is that the 1 doctor is a very good hair transplant surgeon here, but since my case is not so advanced he prescribed the classical protocol. The 2 doctor, quite honestly did not like it. The 3 doctor seems more open to try another options out of the classical route. I was curious when the doctor mentioned the dutasteride mesotherapy. Seems that some doctors in Europe (based on a Spanish study from doctor David Sacedo-Corralo) have been trying this with fairly good results. The doctor did not make promises but she seemed fairly confident in trying that option. It is not expensive (we are talking 90 euros session). Also the doctor on contrary to the study spaces the sessions 1.5 months appart and not 3 months appart.
So i would like to ask for your opinion, expertise, experience on the matter and based on the options that were given by the doctors. What you all think?

Thanks

Well the Duasteride mesotherapy may work great but it falls under the more experimental approach (large clinical trials were not done). So it may work better than oral Duasteride or Finasteride or not. It may be worth trying.

Thank you. Do you believe that dutasteride mesotherapy (considering that is more potent than finasteride), even if it is topical/localized, can give side effects? Bare in mind that i never tried finasteride, minoxidil. Only thing i been using is Nizoral Katekonazole shampoo 2% (2 times a week) ,some oral supplements (vitaminic) and some hair lotion tonics from an Italian Brand.
