Ive been browsing these forums for about a month, and just wanting to vent a little. I dont know if im losing my hair or suffering from stress etc. A month ago i noticed how much hair ive lost in just 5 months. 5 months ago i had a headful of thick hair, now im down to about half. im hoping its just stress etc. I lost about 20-30 pounds in about 1 or 2 from not eating right, binge drinking on the weekends, anxiety, i also got sick and ran a high fever for a couple days, and just not being healthy. Is it normal to lose so much in only 5 months? I went to the doctor about 3-4 months ago and was tested for diabetes and thyroid which were all normal. He prescribed me xanax which is why i didnt eat and lost alot of weight, along with the drinking. I have since bought nizoral, nioxin, and im going to get some rogaine, but i dont wanna get on finasteride with the risk of sides. Man this sucks, i hate knowing i might have rushed in losing hair by own doing. Ive been on the internet hours at a time losing at hair loss crap lol, i guess thats to be expected at first. neway thanks for listening.

possibly not male pattern baldness related,it is possible to lose half of your hair in 5 months ,however people this happens to have known they are going bald not from perfect hair to lose half in 5 months,go to the Doctor and get examined,it may also be very aggressive hairloss

yeah i went and got my hair cut today fade, and kinda short on top, man i feel alot better. Kinda relief that i might be able to pull off a buzz cut if this continues farther. i had another ?, when the hair falls out what does the white bulb mean? does that mean regrowth? or just depends? thanks

theres so many theories around, but its a common thing i've noticed for someone to say theyve had anxiety or stress, then happen to lose hair. I personally believe that these stressful events bring fourth your male pattern baldness quicker than nature mabye originally intended it to. Mind you... i was losing a shitload of hair when i started browsing these forums, after a stressful year. It didn't stop so i started propecia. Its not too bad now compared to before in relation to amount of hair lost per day. Basically just concentrate on being happy and not stressing, mabye see a counsiller to sort your probs, then after a few months if theres no change in your hair / and or it becomes noticable, id suggest to look at some treatments.

say no to stress!
