I recently bought a dermaroller from EBay and it looked and felt differently from others I previously bought. For the hell of it I broke it apart and here are the pics. I recall reading thad that "fake" rollers have discs and not individual needles but I'm still unsure.

Those look like real needles to me. Gotta link to the eBay listing?. I’m having a hard time finding real needle rollers

There is no disk in that roller. If you look carefully you can see individual needles going right down to the core of the roller. Rollers with disks have triangle shaped protrusions shaped straight out of the disk.
