Nervous About Oily or Dry Skin on dutasteride

I just placed my order for Duprost. 3 months worst. I've been on proscar for just about a year now, and the zits have never gone away. they got bad enough to the point where i've now been on retin-a for three weeks. after the first two, my face looked a bit better, but not much progress in this third week at all. they say seven weeks. And really, eight months.

Thing is, I'm nervous that Duprost will take the acne past the point where Retin-A will help

1st Question) Aside from Retin-A, can a derm. prescribe some oral medication that will also fight the zits, or does the fact that they're caused by Proscar/dutasteride cancel out the effectiveness of meds, so to speak.

The other thing I'm worried about, is there was a poster who used to have oily skin on finasteride., but when he switched to dutasteride., he got such dry skin that wrinkles resulted. I'm a little frustrated that a search for "dry skin" yields everything *but* info. on dry skin.

The problem with the super dry skin, that's even worse than finasteride., is that it doesn't seem solutions like emu oil or what have you will really help. it seems like a much deeper problem. i need my hair, but i can't look 80, either.

2) I realize there's only one way to find out what will happen, but doesn't anyone have any suggestions on what to do if I have either problem -- too much oil or too little?

The other problem is, minoxidil and finasteride. didn't really help much, my small, small bald spot has gotten bigger, and my front is diffuse thinning more. (even though the hairline and overall thickness is still good). but it's on it's way to seeing scalp.

But now I've had to stop minoxidil, and haven't seen the shed because of it. while I haven't seen minoxidil/finasteride help, my body hair has increased, so i know it's doing *something*.

3) Can Duprost do better than finasteride./minoxidil. were doing for me, though it doesn't appear to be much, even if it was maintenance (which would have been great)? Would taking it every other day, given the half-life, ease the possible side effects, while boosting hair?

4) Anyone go from oily to wrinkly? Anyone find a solution to either of those problems once starting?

5) Why won't my f'in bald spot close?

6) I know there's only one way to find out, and I will, but I'm looking to hear from others, w or w/o symptoms. i've read slibarti's story, which has helped.

Thanks everyone.
