need some help

Hey i have thining temples and used kirkland minoxidil 5% just once on my temples and i quit. The reason is because i want to try finasteride first and see how it goes before adding minoxidil for a lifetime. I wanted to know if its possible with one use my hair will shed now and never grow back. I know its a rather stupid question but i am little concerned. Thanks
