It looks fine at the moment, so I wouldn't worry about meds until you notice definite shedding. get someone else (preferably a doctor) to confirm you have male pattern baldness before taking any meds. We are not our own best judges. From those photos it looks OK though. What is your crown like?

my crown is actually fine, i have pretty thick hair there, however its the forehead thats im more worried about.

so your saying to wait until some definite shedding to go to see a doctor?

The family record does'nt look to good but at the moment I cant see any evidence that you have anything to worry about.

s.a.f., you're not helping anyone if you say they don't have to worry, just because they aren't a Norwood 3 yet.

Why should he worry yet. It looks fine to most people here im sure. There is no major recession and for now it may just be his maturing hairline. Document your hair for a few months see if it gets worse then youll know for sure.

ummm whats a Norwood 3? :$

Stands for Norwood 3. It is a chart that has 7 levels of baldness, 1 being not bald, 2 being either the start of male pattern baldness or just a mature hairline, and 3 being generally considered the early stages of balding. 7 is the last stage where there is little or no hair at all left on the top of the head.
