I've been on minoxidil for about 5 years. Had decent results at first but it isn't working anymore. Tried finasteride but had to quit due to sides. I'm going to continue with the minoxidil 5%, but what else can add to the mix. If I was going to add one other topical, what should it be? spironolactone? (if so, how much? will 2% be enough?) Xandrox? What's up with copper peptides?
I have diffused thinning. Still have a decent amount of hair, but starting to show soon.

Try 5% Xandrox at night and 2% spironolactone.

I'm starting right off with those two, haha. I gotta get some serious regrowth going on.

How are you applying your minoxidil for your diffuse? I'm going to need help with that.

I just pull the hair up away from my head as much as possible, stick the dropper through to the scalp, and start dispensing. I move it around and try not to get too much in one area. I don't rub it in. I guess i get some on my hair but I feel most of it does get on the scalp. Sometimes I'll go just above the 1ml line to account for what misses the scalp. In any case, minoxidil isn't working for me anymore. Guess I'll keep using it though.

As for spironolactone, my derm said he consulted a hair specialist on the matter and he said it's not worth it. Doesn't get absorbed into the scalp enough to work, and if it did there would be a danger of gyno. All in all, not a good prospect.

You could use Flax SDG where you used to use finasteride. It performs the same function, well actually more since it affects 5AR-I and 5AR-II, as finasteride did.

I have never seen any cases of systemic effects from topical sprio. People that do take oral spironolactone are at risk of side effects.

What do you mean by minoxidil stopping working?

You have stropped regrowing more hair, or the hair you regrew is falling out?
