I am using the 15% spray at nighttime and 5% spray during the daytime. I have also been using 1 mg Finasteride daily. I'm going on three month's and have had great success so far. Unfortunately I am one of the unlucky ones with the sexual side effects caused by Finasteride. The 5% spray that I am currently using contains 0.25% Finasteride. I have also read on Dr. Lee's site that the 15% Minoxidil with Azelaic Acid also blocks DHT. Are the two sprays good enough to block DHT? Can I (or should I rather) make a Finasteride cream to put on at nighttime? i.e. 40ml Dr Lee spironolactone + powdered 30mg (6 tablets) Fincar + 2ml 50% alcohol.--->(mix into cream). Any help is appreciated!!!!!

CURRENT REGIMEN:
--------------------------------------------------------------
1) 1 mg Finasteride Daily*Need to remove ASAP!*

2) GenHair's 15% Spray {Minoxidil Ultra Strong 15% w/ Azelaic Acid 5% (Bedtime)}

4) Folligen Spray (Nighttime)

5) Nizoral 1%, (every three days)

6) Dr Proctor's Hair Formula Shampoo (Generic Nano)

Grab some spironolactone.. ! The cream is 5%, and doesnt smell much at all.. since using it, I have rarely shed more than 10 hairs each shower.

Azelaic Acid does provide some DHT protection but its effectiveness is unknown. Its a great addition to a minoxidil solution but shouldnt be seen as a topical alternative to finasteride because there simply isnt one. Try a combo of minoxidil+Azelaic acid, spironolactone and Nizoral shampoo. Probably as close to a topical finasteride as you are going to get.

There are natural DHT blockers that work in a different manner than finasteride if you are interested otherwise I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose.
Like what?

The only one I can think of is Revivogen.

This is in reference to oral DHT inhibitors not topical.

You can use flax lignans to not inhibit 5AR, but what happens is it actually binds to it therefore blocking testosterone from becoming DHT.
