You battle it just like any other type of male pattern baldness (crown, diffuse etc.). Finasteride, derma + minoxidil.
4.5 months is some time but not a huge amount of time. Try comparing where you were when you started and after 6 months. If you have receeded a lot during this time, stop using minoxidil if you don't see any improvements.
