Hi Guys,
I am 25 and have a diffuse thinning on top woth no gaps but hair is very light and thin. I've seen DHT (oily secretion near my hair roots) on my microscopic pic taken at Hair Club. They adviced me hair transplant is not a best bet coz i have no gaps on my head. I am strcitly against finasteride and herbal Sol like SP does seem to work as per lotta ppl on this forum. Iam seriously considering hair transplant. I have a couple of questions on this.
1) Is hair transplant permanent solution?
2) I have hair alover but very thin and sparse. How many hair transplant do I need apply?
3)How much does it usally cost?
4) How long does it take to recover or atleast go to my work or travel (I want to hide my hair transplant ) ?
5) I thought they plant grown hair..If not, How long does it take to grow new hair?
6) How long does it take to get a full head of hair?
7) Is MRH good palce to go for a consult? What do you recommend?
8) I see lotta technologies comming up.. What is the quickest and safest hairloss treatments?
I know its lotta questions. But I am frustated with hair loss. I appreciate any opinions.
Thanks

Regrowing hair,If you have diffuse thinning a hairtransplant can and will make you bald, from the shock. Also you need to stay away from MHR as they offer a real permenent solution to hairloss by killing what you have and disfiguring your scalp (now theres a solution). Is a hairtransplant the *permenent* solution to hairloss? Yes and no.If you have advanced hairloss N/W 4-5 and are happy to have a full look or illusion of fullness after 2 or 3 procedures yes.If you are a diffuse thinner or early in your hairloss it could make your situation worse or much worse depending on how lucky you are.My advise would be to see a dermatologist who knows hair and get an honest evaluation.DHT is not an oily substance seen by a video microscope, just so you know the video microscope is a sales tool used to sell hair transplants and hairsystems by using pseudoscience. What it is actually showing you "diffuse hair" is the very reason to not get a h/t.There is much to learn don't stop your research. And be very wary of anything you hear especially if it is from hairtransplant Dr. or clinic as there are but a few who are worthy of your trust and too many that would butcher you without remorse. You will never have a full head of hair again once you have lost it ,never. I am glad you found this site as you have been severly influenced by 2 of the worst false advertisers there are already.

Regrow,You might want to try Progaine shampoo or Nizoral shampoo also.I don't know if your hair might become dependent on them or not though.I used Nioxin and it stopped my hairloss although some say it does'nt work I liked it.There is a website that advocates scalp excersizes, if I find it I will post the address for you. Also just out of curiousity see a Dermatologist not an H/t dr.(most don't know a thing about hair) to find out whats going on up there (with the oily deposits?)and stay out of the hairclub lol.The vitamins can't hurt ,the laser comb won't work, never heard about hair magic. The bottom line is there is no cure if its male pattern baldness. finasteride is the only think now to slow it and minoxidil is a longterm commitment.Your anxiety and concern is normal and flamed by the industry that sells to you fears with quackery(abnormal).Beat them to the punch and don't fall prey to the all the target maketing B.S..Become your own best advocate by doing what you are now , research.

Any of us can understand the apprehension of using drugs in general. In treating male pattern baldness, Propecia would be an elective decision to help save one's natural hair from the ill effects of DHT. The same goes for minoxidil and yes there is a long-term commitment to either one or nature will resume its course with the effects of male pattern baldness.

Ultimately we all should respect any individual's decision to use or not use the meds. I mean it is not like male pattern baldness is a life threatening disease as troublesome as it is. HOWEVER, I always encourage anyone to make an "informed" decision. If we read up on Propecia and Merck's clinical trials both initially and on-going the stats actually are very positive and a very high percentage of men taking it do not have any sexual side-effects at all. In fact even the ones who did notice those side-effects and continued to take it, the side-effects eventually dissipated. Obviously there are some who discontinue it for whatever reason. In addition, Propecia (finasteride) can be used very safely while establishing a family if handled properly and again all of the information is available at their website plus your doctor and/or local pharmacist may have the clinical data you can obtain.

I personally wore hair systems for just over a decade and absolutely hated it. Very expensive to maintain, very difficult to get that natural appearance (styling) takes alot of time. :hairy: Lots of women can get away with it if they choose to wear a long hair style, but men with their shorter hair lengths? Forget it. And don't forget, they shave down the top of one's head to accomodate the placement of the system and once they do that, how do you break away from it should you decide to quit wearing it. :freaked2:

And yes many of these organizations use high-pressure sales people or what they call "closers" to get you to buy on the spot, just like used car sales! :freaked:

The answer? Research, research, and more research. Do it yourself so you establish your own understanding and then we are able to make an "informed" decision. Best wishes. :)
