Hello again guys! My hair has been maintaining thus far... at this moment this is my rregimen:

Rogaine foam 2x a day (i over apply it)
Proscar 1.2 mg every day
nizoral 2perrcent 3 times a week
progaine shampoo 2 times a week (this is just cosmetic i think)
T-sal shampoo on my nizoral off days

I have not experienced any sides ever and so i'd like to kick it up to the best possible regimen but i just dont know what else out there is prroven effective as we all know theres alot of snake oil in the hair loss business. so i figure what better place to ask for advice.... i wanna cover all possible grounds... thanx for the help guys!

Maybe try adding a CP/SOD product into your routine. I use folligen lotion and like it, but I heard tricomin, and even the new Hair Signals are about the same thing.

Well, if you don't grow hair with that combo, I doubt anything else will help either. You're already using the most effective stuff out there that we know of.

You can take a look at some more experimental hair growth treatments on my blog to get an idea of what's out there. I guess one more thing you could try is retinoids, which have a lot of studies showing their effectiveness in reducing wrinkles etc. which MIGHT be helpful for hair growth. Green tea extract also looks like one of the more promising ones, but the concentrations used in these studies were very high (ethanol extracts, if I remember correctly), so any old green tea cream on the scalp might not do anything.

CP = copper peptides
SOD = Superoxide dismutases

Kinda fuzzy on the specific method that these products work by, but I feel as though folligen is helping strengthen my hair and increase the overall health of my scalp

I can't link websites, but google "folligen" or "tricomin". If im not mistaken you can look on amazon dot com for these products as well.

I'd say copper peptides, I use hair signals and mix six drops in my 1ml of rogaine than apply it too my scalp, been doing this for 7 months or so now and it's a good additional item to the regimen.

Hair signals ingredients include,

• DHT Inhibitors
Including Tea Extracts, Saw Palmetto Oil, Pygeum Africanum, and Lavender Oil
All are inhibitors of DHT

• Penetrating Agents
Including Polysorbate-20 and Polysorbate-80, key ingredients found in the original Helsinki Formula® (c+p)

zinc pyrithione shampoo is a very good ingredient to look out for in shampoo also, or you could try proxy n, but I have no experience with this

ah thanks Petchsky i just read this thoroughly, i see that you are a moderator and i definately trust the information i recieve from these forums as u all have not steered me wrong in the past but when i hear things like tea or saw "oil" i cant help but think snake oil but i seee you however would vouch that these are in fact effective treatments so i may give them a try. i have photo documented my hair progress but i am a little afraid to post them as u all might ridicule me im 26 and a nw2 at worrst with a thick crown and anterior scalp just slight thinning in temples and front but barely noticable to someone not familiar with hair loss i started treatments about four years ago and my hair is nice and thick still much thicker than my 17 year old brothers but he has always had thinner hair than me i think. so i dont know if i am going bald or the treatments are really working but i do know one thing.... everyone man and women loses hair with age and i'd like to keep my youthful good looks as long as possible. i forgot to add in my regimen that i also take biotin 200 mg a day and i did dabble with retin-a for a while as my wife had been prescribed it for acne but it destroyed her skin so i used the bottle on my scalp lol. retin-a is very pricey if not prescribed tho i think around 260 a small bottle...... does anyone know where to buy a good retin-a formula without a rx? i dont mind the price but i want the most effective dose as it did not irritate my scalp at all even when used with rogaine so i may as well pile it on right? lol again thanks for all the helpful insight guys... i may post some pics from my four year progress if u guys should be interested.... but be nice as i said i may not look bald but inevitably everyone loses hair the same way their skin and whatever else ages i'm not just some OCD freak i know i have lost density to some degree. anyways thanks again friends and good luck on your fight! :)
