Hey Guys,
I believe I would be a Norwood 2.5, receded temples and slight thinning on the crown - only really noticeable when the hair is wet.
Anyways, I decided to start on rogaine foam about a month ago. I'm starting to go through the initial shed I believe, but it isn't terrible.. At least I know it's working to some extent.
I understand that I really need to block DHT to continue to see results, but for many reasons I really don't think propecia is for me, and my dermatologist advised me against it.
I am considering adding spironolactone to my regimen and wanted to seek out advice from anyone else that might be using romaine and spironolactone without propecia.
Currently I apply rogaine foam only once a day (in the morning). I figured I would see if I have results once a day and can always increase to two times if I need to. I also have just started nizoral today and plan on using it 2 times a week.
So getting back to my question. What advice would you guys have for someone looking to start spironolactone? If I'm using Rogaine in the mornings, would it be better to use spironolactone at night? or in the morning after the rogaine dries? Also, how effective is spironolactone when compared to finasteride?
