Need Advice. dutasteride and the front

I need help in understanding whether dutasteride will help or hinder my situation. So I've been on finasteride about 9 months and lost an insane amount of hair at the front, my back seems okay. When I did the online assessment for propecia it said it only worked and back and mid scalp but then people on here said it works all over but Merck can't say so for legal reasons. So I took it and it's clear it's hindered my situation I would say it's made me hair worse and sped up my hair loss but I don't want to get into all that as people on here seem to dismiss that as all in your head etc. What I really want to understand is does dutasteride do the same. I've read threads on here saying dutasteride may possibly thin the front even more !! I barely have any hair left at the front and need to take action so that would mean taking a risk on dutasteride. I just really can't deal with another shed it's really wiped out my entire hairline in under a year . Does dutasteride effective at the front???

It did not speed up your hairloss. It can speed up hairloss temporarily due to initial shedding, but it will NEVER make your hair worse over the longterm then it would have been otherwise. Consider dutasteride as the same thing as finasteride but more powerful. So what its doing to all your hair will be amplified. As I said though, it will not make your hair loss, long term. Therefore your worries about your hairline should not be worries and are irrational now that you know the facts. The part about Merck only saying it doesn't work on the hairline because it would be illegal for them to do so is true. finasteride and dutasteride works on the hairline just like all the other hair on your head, just maybe not as well.
