This is my first time posting, but i have been reading around these forums the last couple weeks trying to get some information on treatments. I am 25 years old, starting noticing my hairline thinning about 2 years ago, and recently decided to take action. Went to a dermatologist and was put on propecia about a week ago. I just received the rogaine foam in the mail today. my question is, should i start on the foam right away, or give the propecia time to do its thing? The thinning is mainly around the temples and im really the only one who notices it at the moment.
There is not much history of hairloss in my family. i have an uncle thats 60 now and is just now losing some of his hair. i should point out also that i believe the thinning began shortly after i fell into a pretty bad depressed state. i have taken care of all that now i want to work on the problem at hand! i will get some pictures posted as soon as i can, but any advice you can give me on the combination of the 2 products now would be a huge help.
My biggest fear is all the shedding i hear everyone talk about, and if i compound it by using both products immediately. From what i have read propecia seems to do wonders for young men my age. just want some of you current finasteride and rogaine users to shed some light for me.
