He was kind of rich, too, a successful CPA. So he could eat whatever he wanted, and probably ate plenty of blue berries, which was good. But he ate out a lot. Not sure if the caliper of restaurants he went to would use trans fat to deep fry stuff, but that would explain his death if they did. He also was 30 pounds over weight.

Cause of death interests my dad because he is affraid of dying soon too. My uncle looked and felt a lot younger than my dad, 60, though my dad is in much better shape muscularly. My dad's natural blood pressure is 156, so he is taking meds to bring that down to 134.

For a possible longer-lasting blood pressure solution, have your dad try a mild chelator daily like grapefruit pectin, or better yet vitamin K2, specifically menaquinone-7. Jarrow makes an excellent product called MK-7.

As for trans-fats, yeah, they're bad news. Trans-fats drastically lower HDL, and raise LDL. Probably one of the worst foodstuffs commonly found in the supermarket you ever could injest.

Yeah, I don't know if I should tell him to spend $30 on 90 high dose vitamin K pills from life extension, or just eat a lot of chollard greens with fatty salad dressing. So far I mentioned the former and advised the later for cost reasons.
