I first noticed thinning at 18 years old, but now at 20 it's actually becoming noticeable

I have no idea what my pattern of balding is called. I have absolutely no recession but it's thinning all over on top. But unlike typical diffuse hairloss, there's a small straight patch on the middle that's much thinner.
I have thick side parted hair and this patch is actually becoming visible under harsh lighting (which a friend was happy to point out while I was sitting and he was standing recently)

When I was 18, my doctor gave me some B6 shampoo. It did nothing. I used Nizoral for a year and saw absolutely no improvement. My hair loss has continued to get worst, so I can't even say if it worstened the condition

I just started taking 1mg of Finasteride every other day.

This is taking a great toll on me emotionally and I don't know what to do. I actually actively avoid mirrors and harsh lighting in my daily life now, I feel grotesque
