Hello everyone,

im new here and I would like to share my hairloss experience and ask for advice.

Im 23 years old and I noticed hairloss approximately 2 years ago. Hairline at the temples moved quite back. This is similar to what I'm having on my head, left picture --> http://www.hishairclinic.com/wp-content ... _dutch.jpg

I think the reason is mainly loosing weight and bad diet (I ate only like once a day, always feeling hungry for almost one year) and a lot of stress.
I tried some lotions, I eat normally now, I take vitamins for hair growth and massage my head every day. Hair loss stopped and Im also very very slowly gaining new hair at the sides, but the density is very poor.

Because the results are very poor even after 2 years, now I have it enough and I want to try some other stronger solutions. What do yo suggest? OH and also there is no baldness in my family, my father and mother have very thick hair and also grandparents didnt have problems with hairloss.

Hoping for advices,

kind regards

You might have slight hair loss in addition to the bad eating. Last year I did p90x while eating only 500 to 800 calories a day and I believe it did a significant damage to my hair. I am doing the program again now but eating about 1500 a day.

i too did the same thing!!!!

eating about 500-800 calories a day
while doing p90x

im 6'1''
i lost about 30-35 pounds in about 3.5 months
went from 188 to 155

my hair started falling out like crazy!!!

the super thin hair encouraged me to start the big 3

personally i think losing alot of weight within a short time can cause Telogen Effluvium

That's insane, my results were almost exactly the same! I went from 183lbs to 147lbs in the three months. Now I'm still 153 lbs and doing the program again but this time around there's no way I'm eating that low haha.

I have read that the way we ate is considered a "crash diet" and does cause hair loss. In addition to the low calories, that program burns a hell of a lot of calories so I imagine by the end of the day it only added up to about 300 or so calories.

No mistake, I am thinning in the crown, but it wasn't until after p90x that I started being able to see my entire scalp when it was wet. I never had that problem before. I am a little concerned though because I didn't notice any loss of hair on the sides so I'm scared I just sped things up. Going to the derm Friday to get a prescription for propecia. Crossing fingers!

Here is how to lose weight while avoiding side effects like hair loss and heart conditions:

Eat very little but more often and only when you feel a little hungry.

Losing weight will probably take longer but it'll be safer. Crash diets CAN boomerang and cause you to gain more weight later. NO NO NO, I'm not a dietician. :)

Watch out buying from sites claiming to give you the medication without a prescription. They most likely sell really bad batches which can actually make more hair fall out. Go get a prescription, trust me!

I just got mine last week.

If You look like the guy in the pic then you have male pattern baldness. Remeber that you can inherit it from both parents and it is a dominant gene. So only one crippled gene is needed to get male pattern baldness.

Well both my mom and my dad have thick hair, and also grandparents didn't have problem with baldness, also my brother who is 29 has very thick hair and hairline almost like a kid. And also my hair fell out only in the front, the crown is okay.

Im having quite a balance diet now and take vitamins but over one year very weak results. Maybe still not enough calories during the day, I dont know.

I'm talking about getting finasteride without a prescription. Do you have to have a prescription for it on those sites? I would be wary if you don't?

today i ate my first propecia pill, got it with perscription

do you think I should first try with only propecia and see what happens or should I go with propecia + rogaine?

both! Give it awhile though.

Now that you're incorporating the big 3 you can stop worrying because you are doing all you can do now. Give yourself a break for a few months and then check the mirror for progress!

got a prescription off my Doctor and then decided that i'm not gunna pay like 800% price or something for the same drug. i use inhouse, no prescriptions needed for that website. maybe it sounds dodgy but i've never heard anything except for great reports from people who use inhouse.

yo =)

well Ive been on propecia now for 20 days and now when I massage my scalp everyday Im starting to feel more tiny bright hair in front of my head. and i can see if those hair would become darker and permanent they would develop quite a good hairline. is this a good sign?
