Introductions:

Back when I was sixteen everything was fine, then two years later if you looked at my head shot, you could have swore I was in my mid forties ( from a hair perspective) I used to think that there was nothing I could do about it. I guess the biggest thing was that hair is sort of a vanity. If your a guy and your going bald slowly your just supposed to accept it with quiet dignity. If you try to fix it your just doing it to avoid some midlife crisis.

Th only thing is my midlife crisis washappening when I was twenty. I felt cheated. I skipped out on theconfident hair years of my present because of genetics.

About a two years ago I realized Ididn’t have to stand by and watch my hair get thinner anddisappear. I saw that Minoxidil was available over the counter. So Ibought a bottle. Long story short, I couldn’t keep up with theregimen and I had little success. I would go off and on trying thingshalf-heartedley, always finding ways to forget to do it every day.

Then I had a Kidney stone. So manydoctor's visits. I used to hate them. Now I don't, there justsomething you have to do. Cut to one month ago and I finally work upthe courage to ask my doctor abut Propecia. I told him I wanted totry it for a year and see if anything at all happened. He told methat there was a good shot something would happen, but because mostof my hair loss was in the front that he couldn’t assure me that itwould get me any results I would really like.

I told him I still wanted to try ad hewas nice enough to let me.

And so my journey begins.

I am guessing right now my hair loss onthe Norwood chart is a 2.5 or a 3? (pictures below) I am trying to keep myexpectations low but my hopes high. Realistically I would be happy ifI could thicken up the center peninsula of hair that still extends tomy original hairline. Anything after that I will see as a gift.

Updated Regimen:
Added Folligen
Added Vitamin A + D supplement

Side Effects:
They come and go, mostly just annoying stomach craps with the occasional groin-area soreness. Usually never last more than 1 day.

Noticeable improvements:
I have noticed a whole forest of vellus hairs spring up around my temples and the area surrounding my little 'hair peninsula'. Will they go terminal?
only time will tell.
