My Scalp Feels Great

Why?

Because 5 days ago i STOPPED applying minoxidil to my VERY frontal hairline. Plus hardly any hairs have fallen out for a good three days even when i pull on the front or rub my hands through it... im going to start it up again mid week... and if it itches or irritates me again im going to give it the boot. Been using it once a day for 2 months... two months of hatred.

Just thought i might let you all know... i havent even had to scratch my head all day... great times...

thought you'd hated it ever since you started? you still continued? yeah its a pain in the ***.. i just went through one bottle of it and left it. it gave me this amazing shed thats left me with around 500 hair less on my scalp within 2 weeks which'll probably take another million years to grow.

i share your hatred for it. though it didnt give me an itch or any flaking. actually some sort of dandruff type residue when it dried up. but it was extremely greasy.

What both of you describe is a common side effect of minoxidil.

The_Krush, given you started minoxidil very recently, I can somewhat say that the flakiness you encountered is almost predictable. I got the same thing, not just flakes, but what appeared to be serious chunkage of scalp coming loose and floating freely in my dry hairs!

After a few months, and with Nizoral use, this went away and and has not returned with the exception of a few days when I got home late and drunk and had a psychotic minoxidil orgy on my scalp and probably overdosed on it. I think the scalp inevitably gets used to the daily minoxidil, I attribute it more to time than I would to the Nizoral, but the Nizoral was part of my regimen and it very well might have been the cure. Anyways, stick through it, it will probably go away as I believe quite a few of us minoxidil users encountered just what you did, and also had the situation abate with time.

Yup...you will loose a LOT of hair the first 1-2 months...then suddenly in month 3 you will regaine that AND more...It's the way it works.

Dr Lees minoxidil has much less PPG (the irritant in most minoxidil formulas) is non-greasy and dries in 10 minutes, it is very 'light' compared to Rogaine or a generic, try it !!!!!!
