My regimen.. initial thoughts (minoxidil not so evil)

Here is the breakdown.

finasteride daily
Dr. Lee's minoxidil 5% daily
Dr.Lee's regrowth shampoo 3x week


I am shocked at how minoxidil is turning out. I have feared this stuff for years, I thought for sure it would interact with me in a negative way. With my fair skin, I thought it would bother the hell out of me, same with the nizoral equivialant. The shampoo feels great, I can leave it in for 5 minutes with no sign of stinging. As for the minoxidil, this stuff is great so far. I haven't mastered the process of applying it, I basically drop it over my scalp and rub it in... It takes like no time for lee's formula to dry, and when it does it sort of acts as a gel. I basically can style my hair with this stuff, and it still looks dry, itjust sort of sticks my hair together.. hard to describe, but it's kick ***. It's only been a week or so, but so far I'm wishing I had started this much much sooner.... It's not nearly as cumbersome as I imagined.

Minoxidil is great stuff! It works very well as a hair growth stimulator once dht has been dealt with. Very good regimen you have their. The salycylic acid + ketaconazole shampoo feels very nice on the scalp!

Indeed. Is there any advantage to not rubbing it in?? It seems difficult if not impossible to just drop it on my scalp and leave it there. At the same time im paranoid im not getting it into my scalp and not my hair.. I guess it must absorb into the scalp eventually...?

I rub it in loosely, and don't worry too much about the little that might be on my hands. Redbone bought this badass patented applicator that supposedly increases absorption by 400%, but I don't think I'm that hardcore just yet.

I got the same meaning about minoxidil as you guys. Applying does not bother me at all.

I rub the minoxidil to my head but I am not shure if that is the best way of applying. Lot of minoxidil remains on my hair. So the second stage is that I go throught my hair with my hands again and rub the minoxidil from my hair to balding areas in the back and above ears.
