ive been on propecia and minoxidil 5% with nizoral for the past 4 months. my hair loss is receding hairline. I am a Norwood .5 and for the first 2 months i had really good results, i could see dark vellus hairs grow all over my hairline. But i noticed in my third month or so, that some of these vellus hairs shedded or my hairline wasnt as heavily sparced with vellus hairs as it was in my second month. I still have some vellus hairs that are some what long. At the same time i think my hairline is slowly returning to the natural hairline. My question is, is shedding of vellus hair normal for the new thicker hairs or terminal hairs to grow in? Also, i might not have as many vellus hairs as before, but i think my hairilne is returning to the natural hairline?...can nebody tell me whats going on?..remember..at the end of july will be my 4th month...please gimme ur thoughts...thank you

My thoughts? Sounds like it's working for you. Vellus hairs will be shed and hopefully be replaced with terminal hairs. Secondly, you should add some sort of DHT inhibitor. Rogaine is not enough to fight the battle alone.

If your only a n.w .5 then you shouldnt have any problem on filling up that hairline. Congratulations on catching the hairloss early

Yes thats exactly what I am saying. Even though you have lost hair in these areas, most of these follicles should still be alive and can easily be activated by the big 3 (propecia, minoxidil, nizoral) especially if you started the program as soon as you began to lose your hair. I dont know from personal experience because I am trying to restore my temple regions and I have been losing in those areas for about 5 years now.

In the end, the answer to your question is Yes, the majority of your hair that you lost has a Really Really good chance of growing back but only if you stick with the regimen of the big 3. Good Luck!
