I often hear other people say that it is normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day. At the moment i am not even close to that, losing around 60. But I am thinning dramtically. So my assumpition was that it is not the amount I am losing, but rather the amount that are not growing back.
Theoretically a head of hair should consist of many hairs that are shorter than the rest, being the ones that are regrowing. So I explored my hair and my assumption was confirmed. Apart from my hairline with all its minituarized hairs ( ) I have only hair of the same length. There are no hairs that are shorter than the rest. So it seems to be true. They just stop regrowing and it becomes logical why I am thinning like that. Of course, this makes shedding much more dramatic to me knowing that every lost hair is literally lost.
Anyone with a similiar problem? Anyone having some advice?
