my heart is racing after i apply minoxidil advice needed

hi i am on minoxidil for 1.5 months but my heart os racing after i apply minoxidil. is it due to over abosrption? and in any case does it lead to the worst eexpected (heart attack) in future?

i would apply minoxidil 1 hour after taking shower when my scalp is dry. I use nizoral shampoo 1%.

Minoxidil, in oral form, is a powerful hypertensive drug. Your body may be very sensitive to it. Ask your doctor ASAP before continuing with it. Don't be silly and take cardiac health advice from this board or any other.

What are you talking about? Most people here will give him the correct advice, which is to stop using it. It even says that in the instructions. Even you gave him advice.

Seriously. If anyone gets this type of side effect with minoxidil then they should stop using it. Consulting a doctor will only cost them money to hear the same thing. Don't mess with your heart in hopes of attaining a fuller head of hair.

Sometimes it could be completely mental however...The white glove effect is when a doctor goes to check ur heart rate and suddenly out of nowhere your heart starts to race.

the same can be said for your minoxidil application...you could get nervous that you are going to experience those side effects, and in turn cause your heart to actually race. Its hard to tell which is causing this experience, your brain or the minoxidil.
