I wish I knew if it was receding or not! It is very "mature", but not in the usual way, I think. Instead of having high peaks (or "upper cuts", as I call them), it reaches very far back, instead. It seems to me that this is less common, but tell me if I'm wrong.
How far back? The temple boundaries line right up with the sideburns. (Think of a curvy "M" turned on its side.)
Since my mom and younger sister both have this "far-back" hairline (if we ignore the super-thin temple hair that almost all females seem to have in those areas), I'm not too worried about that part.
However, my right side is beginning to look high to me. Sometimes I look at it and think for sure that it's receded, other times I think I'm imagining things. My left side never looks off to me. Looking at myself face on, the right side is definitely a tiny bit higher, but I don't know if this means anything since some people do have uneven hairlines, including TV "journalist" Sean Hannity.
The hairline IS transparant in bright sunlight, but I've always assumed this is the diffusing that affects my whole top. Now I'm not entirely sure.
(Sigh) I really hope I'm not fighting a two-front war here. I wish I had pictures to show, but I don't have a digital.
When I look at the Norwood 2 drawings, the side-view guy looks like me, but the top view DEFINITELY doesn't. Not even close.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
(Jeez, what a neurotic. You'd never know I still have most of it!)
