Hello everyone,

my is Andrea from Italy and I would like to share with you my Hair Transplant experience in Turkey with Novamed - Istanbul.

I had many doubts about what to do to fight the partial baldness I had especially in the front side of my head. When I heard that in Istanbul were many Hair Transplant Clinic I started to find out on the web and I found myself in a big mess. Too many clinics, saying all differetn things. Until I popped in Novamed a new born clinic in Istanbul who have a little but efficient team.

Before contacting them I have been looking for as many information as possible on the web to educate myself about this topic since the operation consists in a microsurgery that collects the follicles from the donor area and the will be implanted on the bald area.

Novamed was very professional with me from the first talk until the end of the whole process. I have to thank them for the way I have been treated by their professional and dedicated team.

Concerning the technique, after they analyzed my picturres they told me that 3200 Grafts was enough to cover the area. I said ok. Then they offered me two different technique ofr the Extraction (FUE). I
did know there was different technqieu for the implantation of the follicles (Slit, sapphire, DHI) but didnt know that there was two different ways to exctrat. Manual FUE and MicroFUE

The first is the extraction through the Manual Punch and the second with a motorized pen. When I saw that the price of Manual was triple of the micromotor I asked them Why is more expensive and what is the difference.

So the they told me that with the manual exctraction the Donor Area will be less affected than the Micromotor so there will less damage and more chances to keep more follicles to survive for a possible next operation. They also told me that all depends from who makes the operation. If the team is good then there will be not many differences between the Manual and the Micromotor. Evene if one of the other advantages of Manual is that the healing process is quickier.. I went back work just after 2 days. I was feeling allright.

I paid 1.20 Euro x Grefts for a total of 3.840 Euro. The micromotor was costing 2.190 Euro, so I decided to option for the best qualitiy product with a difference of about 1500 Euro Not a big deal.

I will attache a picture of my donor area after 1 day from the operation and tell me also what do you think about.

I am happy taht I have choosed the Manual technique because I have some friend who did the Micromotor and the donor area was quite bad to see but as I told you I don't want to put in a bad light the Micromotor because I also saw good works with MicroFUE. This is just my opinion. Next time I will choose Manual FUE again.

If you have more questions about this I will be happy to help you.
